dave was actually a really good student in high school, despite what everyone seems to think. he studied his ass off (and used pesterchum beta video client to work on homework with rose, at times). he literally signed up for a good chunk of AP classes when he was in high school to get any and all of the scholarships he could.

part of it comes from the fact that bro didn’t get to go to college because he was raising him and part of it is because he wanted to prove he could do more than people thought.

he was in the top 5% of his class (which surprised everyone), as well.

even though he fell into bad habits and took some time off from school, he was still able to gain all of his scholarships back to attend a highly ranked art program at a state college at full ride, which he’s currently working hard in.

he secretly uses his time powers during school to get some extra sleep and study time in.

due to his kept time powers, he always knows what time it is down to the very millisecond. it’s kind of strange, but he tends to ignore it and the faint ticking that is constant at the back of his mind.

he also prefers to keep his powers a secret, simply for the fact he hates (and hated) being referred to as a god (because he was no hero. john was the hero. bro was the hero).

he can stall, go backward, and go forward in his and any timeline, as well as hop timelines for travel to other areas. however, he prefers not to fuck up timelines in fear of glitching. he also prefers not to go forward in time due to the fear of the unknown.

dave didn’t want to share his real art talent because it’d be “lame” or “too much like bro’s”, which is why he drew sweet bro and hella jeff in such a shitty style with so much over sharpening it put a 1000% zoomed in picture to shame.

he also improved his photography over the years and takes good pictures even if they are hipster-esque and of obscure things.

however, he gradually grew up to get used to the fact that, yeah, he could draw and use a camera (only after fiddling around with it enough), which is why the only thing he ever considered after high school was going into art college (for multi mediums and photography).

he actually sketches a lot in his free time and probably has one too many sketch books and nice pens and pencils (that he would cry over if he lost) in his room to even be healthy.

he’s actually pretty embarrassed when it comes to showing his real art off.

to go along with the fact that he thought drawing was “lame” when he got such praise for sbahj, he also stuck to rap for the fact that it was “cool” and his brother praised him for his skill at it when he was younger.

however, dave actually has a pretty decent voice. too bad he doesn’t let his singing get past the house or john.

dave ironically played basketball in high school his junior/senior yearand was pretty good because of his speed and height.

he’s actually really far from being athletically challenged due to the fact that bro always challenged him at different things when he was growing up.

dave has a terrible oral fixation.

when he isn’t smoking, he’s busy chewing cinnamon gum to the point where he perma-tastes like cinnamon.

dave is pretty positive he throws a lot of people off by the way he dresses when people finally see him, considering how casual he speaks all the time.

post-sburb, though, he gave up wearing suits (because lohac is hot as fuck and who wants to be in a suit in lava-ridden areas all the time?)  — unless for a formal event.

he still enjoys dressing nice, however, so he settles for nice jeans, paired with some clean-cut button up with some print. if it’s cool enough, he might just add on a light weight cardigan. and if he’s really feeling it, a bowtie. because bowties are always the shit. he also never parted with his red converse.

he does know how to dress casual and typically does so around the house, though.

dave talks like an italian.

he’s all hands and distracts a buncha people when he talks.

his hands really detract from what he says, in all honesty.
